About
Arindam Thokder is a photographer and visual storyteller whose work focuses on everyday life, social narratives, and changing urban landscapes across India. Working primarily in documentary and street photography, his images explore culture, labor, memory, and public spaces with a strong human-centered perspective. His personal projects have been exhibited in various Photo Festivals in India and Outside such as “Indian Photography Festival” – Hyderabad, “Street Parade” – Paris, Angkor Photo Festival, “A million mutinies later | India at 70” – Cardiff, “Odesa-Batumi Photo Days” Festival – Georgia to name a few. His work has been featured in publications including The Caravan, Frontline, Scroll, LiveMint, Better Photography Magazine, Dodho Magazine, and Street Photography Magazine. Arindam received SIXTH edition of Neel Dongre Awards for Excellence in Photography grant organized by India Photo Archive Foundation. He also received the First Edition of Sahapedia Grant for his work “Larger Than Life” where he documented the Hand Painted Movie Posters and Banners.
